Another portion of the annual fee is for the Member's “Direct Placed” account for proprietary projects of specific interest to the member. A small portion of the annual fee is used to support NEETRAC facilities and development activities.
The NEETRAC Management Board, made up of one representative from each Member company meets three times a year in Atlanta, GA to review the status of ongoing Baseline Projects and to review proposals for new Baseline Projects. Most Baseline Projects are recommended by Member companies. Projects are only launched after Members provide their input.
NEETRAC staff work directly with individual Members on Direct Placed (proprietary) projects. These projects are initiated after a member makes a request and approves the resulting project proposal.
NEETRAC serves as the Gateway to all of Georgia Tech! Members may use their proprietary funds to work with academic faculty, graduate students as well as other schools and departments throughout the Institute.
NEETRAC Membership categories and annual membership fees are outlined as follows:
Each year, a portion of the membership fee goes into the Member Direct Placed (proprietary) account. A member may add additional funds to this account at any time during the year.
Note: Unspent Direct Placed funds carry over from year to year – as long as you remain a NEETRAC Member!
Approximately $2.4M is added from our annual memberships to the Baseline (collaborative) account each year. There are approximately 35 to 40 collaborative projects underway at all times.
